Meet Dr. Cynthia Green

I truly believe in the power of braces and have seen time after time the effect they have on our patients for the rest of their lives. I feel passionate about all aspects of orthodontics, but I am primarily filled with gratitude for the wonderful patients I have been blessed to serve each day.

Working as an orthodontist has given me the opportunity to meet so many unique and special people, and for that, I feel fortunate. I love our unique staff, our wholesome community, and every single one of our amazing patients.

Education

Before becoming an orthodontist, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Austin Peay State University and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry School of Dentistry. I worked very hard, knowing that my education would help me to be the best doctor I could be, and graduated in the top five percent of the class.

I completed residency training in orthodontics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where I was a member of the dentofacial deformity, cleft lip and palate, and sleep apnea teams.

I pressed on from there to achieve the highest honor available to orthodontists and am one of only two Board Certified orthodontists in the community. Board Certification guarantees you have an orthodontist in the top of the field!

Continuing Education

Staying on the technological edge of my field is important to me. I want to be able to offer my patients the most advanced and efficient treatment options available; therefore, I routinely participate in continuing education courses and seminars. I am also certified by the American Association of Orthodontists as a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

I am a member of several professional dental and orthodontic associations, including:

  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • American Dental Association
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics
  • 8th District Dental Society
  • Southern Association of Orthodontists

These memberships provide me with year-round opportunities for continuing education—a vital key to providing world-class care for our patients.

Family and Community

I have been a member of the wonderful Clarksville community since 1994. I am proud to call this area my home.

My husband and I have four children who we are very proud of. When I’m not at work or with my family, I enjoy spending time in the garden and caring for the populous birds at our home, from hummingbirds to finches!

Green Orthodontics is not only supportive of the community, we are a part of it! We make it a point to sponsor local youth groups and sports groups on a regular basis. It is part of our vision statement to be involved in the community and we regularly participate in large events such as trunk-or-treating, Clarksville's Best, festivals, and other events where we distribute thousands of complimentary toothbrushes and hygiene products. We also support local businesses! We run monthly contests on Facebook and make it a point to frequently purchase prize packages from our very own local businesses here in Clarksville.
